Rich and sweet toasty aromas of vanilla, stone fruit, pear, apple and barrel toast spices. Sweet ripe impression, forward and well-integrated barrel toast flavors of nutmeg and clove with yeast, lees and minerally acidity. The mouth is medium-to-full bodied, rich and compacted with flavors. This finish is long, creamy, fresh and clean with lingering mineral, pear and toast flavors.
A complex and well spun wine, which should age very well with peak drinkability around 2004-2005 with forward fruitiness diminishing after this time and developing more creamy bottle-aged characters.
